    Anyone ever try making a hybrid set? Flats on the E and B strings for more fundamental, Then have rounds on the A, D and G strings...Or visa-versa... Just a thought.

    I was thinking the exact same thing! The guitarist probably has a bass heavy, scooped mid sound. Now that the bass has the power...you're taking up the frequencies that he listens to.
