ACG 9 STRING!!

Yes, Alan is one of two European builders using my Acrylized boards. Alan has excellent taste and insight in wood selections that consistently produce stunning and unique aesthetics and I'm proud to be associated with him. While Alan uses a wide spectrum of board choices the other builder has used only acrylized ebony in volume...Jens Ritter.

Alan must have 30/40 acrylized boards in stock with another 30/40 on order when I return to the shop in July.

I know I'm getting an acrylized FB on my next bass....courtesy of you! :hyper:

Hi Larry
Thanks for posting in the thread. I also have to say that every bass I have made has some or all of it made from woods supplied by Larry so I owe him a great deal for giving me the best materials available to build these basses. I have used quiet a few of the acrylic boards and just love working with them and the final result is great from an aesthetic point of view but also from the construction side and a feel side,if you have not tried one you should it is an excellent product.

Also like to thank 7 for his input patience and trust without which this bass would never have been made.

Alan

I'm always thrilled when I see people getting into Alan's basses. He makes an instrument that is right up there with the best of the best, but he definitely has his own sense of style. No copy cat, that's for sure! And in all honesty, his prices are way too low. :smug:

Tom.

Thanks for all the kind words about the bass. It really is an incredible instrument to play and I could be happier with it.

As I said before, communication to and from ACG HQ was always good. E-mails went back and forth and I visited Alan on a couple of occasions before the build got underway. I would hate for anyone to have a custom bass built and then think "but it should be like this" or "it isn't what I wanted".

As to the cost, well contact ACG through their website at www.acguitars.co.uk Now that the exchange rates are in favour of those outside the UK, ACG's are way more affordable than they were before the global downturn. Under the news heading at the web site read about the new Graft basses. Limited specs but still handmade.

There's an old saying "if there isn't a price you can't afford it". This doesn't apply to ACG's though and every owner is amazed at the quality they get for the money they spend.
