Thanks Michael for the chart. So this would call for long scale for a Hofner v63/v62? The reason I am asking is because of conflicting information.

So what size (set) of rotosounds would one get to fit a German hofner v63/v62? Do you have to make mediums work? Weird that they wouldn’t make a set specifically for the Hofner.

Thank you so much for the info. It’s too bad that Hofner would use this finish on their deluxe. Now I know my v63 is nitro finish and won’t split like this.

Hey everyone. I have these two hellish cracks in the finish of my Hofner 5000/1. It’s a 1999 I do believe. My question is this. Can anything be done to repair these? I can’t tell if these are finish cracks or if these are in the coating? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Scott

Always sounded like some sort of synth (white noise moog) was doing a lot of the lifting for the bass on Jet... similar to Smile Away from Paul and Linda’s Ram. The Rickenbacker mute seems to be in full effect here.
