What's the Best rig you've played through?

<<<Traynor BassMaster with the 2-12. I'm cheap and can't justify the money to update too much. The cabinet I got in a trade somehow about 25 years ago. It has Force speakers in it. I'd consider replacing them with neodymium to make it lighter but I'm ok with the sound of what I've got. I...

    Your favorite bass, ever?

Maybe the Longhorn in my profile pic. It had a little fret buzz and a small chip in the rosewood bridge. A few months ago I replaced the bridge and put flats on it. If feels and sounds great so far but haven't had a chance to play it "live" yet. I hope the flats mix well with a couple of...

The perfect strings...have you found yours?

Good to know I'm not the only one who hasn't found anything that stands out. Though, I put some LaBella flats on my dano (in the profile pic) and I really like them. Though, I haven't been able to play them live yet. I hope they're not so "thumpy" that I get lost under a couple of loud...

    NBD: 1975 Fender Precision Bass

I have the same exact bass, white guard and all, but with the thumb-rest. Though I'm not sure the exact year. It's also my 1st bass and I don't want to tell you what my dad paid for it in about '87. I've promised myself to never get rid of it. I did put a black guard on it several years ago...

P with flats your only bass?

My 1st bass was a P and it had flats when I got it. My 1st string replacement was with rounds and I never went back. I thought about switching back but every time I asked about flats in a store, the guy behind the counter would question why so I bought rounds out of p I just ordered some...

One brand for the rest of your life

I like my Traynor. I got the Ampeg 2-12 (pictured) in trade for I forget what. I've considered putting new speakers in it (It has Scorpions in it) but I don't hate it. My Dano Longhorn sounds decent with and my Big Al sounds decent with it. A lot of bars are a little too small for it though...

    Danelectro Longhorn Bridge/Saddle

By "fret flap", I was making up my own name for fret buzz or what-ever from the strings "flapping" the frets.. Neck doesn't seem bowed. It's probably a result of poor technique.

    Danelectro Longhorn Bridge/Saddle

Thoughts on replacing wood saddle with metal/adjustable bridge/saddles on a Dano? Would it mess with the cool Dano thump too much? Will it affect fret flap?
