Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass vs Fender Duff Mckagan Signature Bass

Aerodyne in comparison with Duff McKagan is like Coke and Gatorade. While the aerodyne is very light, has a modern sound has the thinnest jazz bass profile ever the DM Signature has standard precision profile, weight and more of a low end sound. Give the aerodyne a shot, it's very interesting in...

    Instant GAS!, Ibanez BTB686SC

Both BTB7e and BTB686sc hear sweet enough to steal your ear at first impression. Like this: /watch?v=M7zuVwOdymU

Here's a sketch, everyone I know who didn't like the original look were astonished with this one, including me hahaha.

    Instant GAS!, Ibanez BTB686SC

Looks like this instantly became sixers and even non-sixers wet dream, it surely became mine replacing John Patitucci's TRB...at least aesthetically.

I want to split the pots (so it would be volume-bass-treble) and drill a cavity instead of individual holes in front of the bass in order to have them aligned in a curve over the future pickguard like a regular P bass instead of actual linear alignment.

    Instant GAS!, Ibanez BTB686SC

In the context of Ibanez basses I find the BTB series in a whole other league than the SR (of course the 2 cases wielding their respective Bart pups). Never got convinced by SR's MK pup but got in love instantly with BTB's BH and even more in together with the BTB Terra Firma's sustain and...

Yeah dude, it's a sweet bass, i'm planning on heavily customize it when the preamp arrives with bass/treble separated pots, a custom design pickguard, neck binding, etc.

Some months ago received a Fender Big Block P bass, as you all may know it holds a 18v preamp (bass/treble boost-cut) and about 3 weeks ago it started developing issues, anyway was planning to get rid of it because of the crappy circuit which has nothing to do with the excellent construction of...

    Instant GAS!, Ibanez BTB686SC

Looks like a sustain monster besides beautifully crafted, finally Ibanez placed Barts that actually have personality IMO but would prefer to see a Nordy instead! Damn, my G.A.S readings are off the chart!

What was your first bass guitar?

haha if falling apart wouldn't be a bad idea to save the neck, it IS the nicest part.

What was your first bass guitar?

That would be an Ibanez GSR200, the neck had some profile I still miss in actual gear.

Well, eventually it may come useful, a little of tech ain't gonna hurt...i'm a engineer after all, used to it. More specifically than volume requirements (which would be a pair of 300w or equal) I'm looking for construction quality, that's why I'm asking the differences between NEO and MBE series.

That's because i've decided to be mainly a bass player no more than a year and half ago. Principles get mixed often but thanks for the advice.
