Music theory...music theory...music theory. Lol I've actually taken up learning songs on piano just to help me understand notes and the placement so I can transcribe it on bass.

I have a headphone adapter for my amp, so I just put the headphones on and let my mind be surrounded by the bass notes. Typically if I'm stressed or mad, I try to play something with ambiance to soothe and calm me.

Ah ah.. right! Of course the bass can only put out. Lol

Oh yeah I have seen them before, though I suppose there aren't many videos of people playing the shamisen, or atleast they are harder to find because the titles could be in Japanese.

Thanks for all your guys' help. I double checked the wires and alas! The one hooking up my battery to my input jack came off. I had checked the wires the first time and everything had been connected, but that wire must have been loose or something and then it came off the second time I checked.

I'm inexperienced with rewiring, I have a soldering iron, but I've never soldered and I'd really hate to make a big mess. I'll double check the wires thoroughly to see and I'll see if there are any simple guides to rewiring.
