I agree, if I played a 4 converted to BEAD I would miss the high notes, 5 strings all the way. If you are going to convert make sure the dropped one has a long scale for that B string, it won't sound as good otherwise. ATM I'm playing an ESP 5 string F shape (one of the discontinued models)...
