Fodera strings?

Thanks so much for the kind words. We are incredibly sorry that you ever had the issue in the first place. That just should not happen. Unfortunately because we do everything by hand and are human, sometime we blow it. But we will ALWAYS do our very best to make it right...

Regards,

Jason

I have to put positive feedback for Fodera company over here...they solve my problem and they will send me new strings...It's realy great Fodera's customer support...
I think this problem can happen with any kind (brand) of strings but for me is the winner who care to fix it...thank you guys W.

I either buy DR low riders or Fodera steel's (not sure what specific ones just steel ones...?) and I find them fairly similar but the Fodera's just feel right to me. I don't really like them straight from the box, after a while of playing they just seem to come alive.

But different people, different preferences. You should like them.

I must say that I have been using Fodera stainless steel strings for over 10 years. Lately I've found myself drifting towards their nickel strings. Also the consistency of the strings have improved. 5 years ago half of the B strings would dead right out of the pack.
Next order will include the Anthony Jackson signature set.

Yep, this happened to me on a set of Dunlops, but I can hardly blame them, because they also sent me a brand new set.

You've got my attention!

When you switched to Fodera, which gauge-range did you select?

I've been using TI flats for years because they produce a strong fundamental without the annoying overtones, finger noise, and excessive treble of rounds (and they feel great under hand). How do Fodera nickels compare to TI flats with respect to those sound characteristics?

Fodera strings.... And TI flats...
Are totally different sound feel wise.

Both are great strings..
I have a set of TI on a fender jazz bass close to 11 years now I would sell the bass before I sell those strings..

On the other hand I use fodera nickels on all my other basses. I change every month or two..

are all of the nickel sets compressionwound? excluding the signature sets..

Im sorry if this is a silly question, I just fine most of the information on the internet conflicting or vague.

that being said I just put a compression round nickels on my roscoe and theyre a KILLER sounding set

I know I'm not the same Jason... But the packaging on all the non-signature sets say "Compression Wound" while the Signatures just say "Round Wound"

Figured youd get back to me haha.. Really appreciate what you do here and can't wait to use your shop now that I found it!

The fodera comp. Wound have been GREAT so far, alot if character to them. Theres a learning curve, I find, for technique and for the difference in live sound, but im liking these ALOT

They are all compression wound...meaning that they are wound under tension thereby "compressing" the materials during the winding process. There is no difference in the production process for the standard or signature sets...
