Fodera strings?

I've been playing fodera nickels in a light gauge on my Roscoe because I couldn't find DR BBs in a light gauge--I'm really digging the foderas! really balanced in feel and sound
I used Fodera .125-.30 nickels on my AJ 36" 6-string for many years, and they were always "pianistic"- punchy, bright, and articulate through the entire range.

Have been using them (4 string nickel) for years, had to purchase another reputable brand recently whilst interstate and this just confirmed my confidence in fodera. Ive still got a 3 year old set on my P and they sound great!
I got a set of Victor Wooten strings once, good strings although I felt they were a little expensive (I think I paid over $40). I found that I like stainless steel strings better though, and now I'm a big fan of Warwick Black Steel Stainless strings with Dean Markley Blue Steel a close 2nd.
I have used the Fodera Diamonds SS on my Dingwall and they sounded GREAT! Too bright at first but then when broke in it is great!

I've gotta say after a couple of weeks breaking them in I loved the tone too, found them a big 'clangy' at first
I have a set of Stainless Foderas on my TRB1006, They're affordable and sound great...do it!
I find the Elixirs are really dark.....good blues tone. Sure they last, but I don't think they're very versatile tone-wise.
You should be able to find them, if not you can always order them direct off the fodera website.

Well, I just tried out the Fodera nickels, but the problem for me right now is figuring out if I like round core or not. They are easier to play, but when you are attacking the string real hard and/or fast they don't respond the same way hex core strings do so I'm not really sure if these are right for me or not. As far as the sound goes they are really bright for nickels and have a nice, smooth but punchy tone to them. I think the round core has something to do with having a smoother tone than hex cores.
UPDATE: I just tried a brand new set of DR Sunbeams and the E was dead right out of the pack. I contacted DR strings and they were very nice and said they would send me out a brand new set at no charge. That's pretty good customer service!

I'm loving Fodera strings - I restring all of the trade-in's I receive with them, and I ALWAYS get great comments from customers that have bought them. GREAT strings!

When you switched to Fodera, which gauge-range did you select?
I've been using TI flats for years because they produce a strong fundamental without the annoying overtones, finger noise, and excessive treble of rounds (and they feel great under hand). How do Fodera nickels compare to TI flats with respect to those sound characteristics?
been using them for about 8-10 years. reluctantly replaced my labella 760rm on Joey's word and have not looked back.
