i had an ibanez sr 405 5 string and now im playing a cort curbow 4 string anything works whatever you like best don't let stereotypes in metal make you play a certain kind of bass. If you like a P-bass then play it if you like an Ibanez then play it whatever is comfortable for you.

I bought a bc rich beast 4- string and I really don't think its the best bass to play. If you put a strap on it and let go of the neck the head start falling towards the ground. They are really heavy and bulky not the best to get, but its all up to you

if you've only played with recordings that could probably be the problem. You have to actually jam with the band and get a feel for how everyone plays and thats how you get your timing down. Also, when I play out i follow the drums I don't really listen for the guitar unless im lost on where...

Does anyone know of any good pickups to put in a cort curbow 4-string or do you think the stock ones should be fine? I play everything from slap to death metal so if that helps let me know what you think.

I first started off with a 4 string and then upgraded to an Ibanez SR405 and I played it and gigged with it numerous times. Although I enjoyed playing the 5 string I am selling it now and learning every part and everything possible I can on a 4 string.
