Old Longhorn bass, could it be an dano or not?

Rinus sure was one of them. I personaly think Frank Kraaienveld of the Bintangs is way way way cooler. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] Invalid Link Removed Playing time it will get enough believe. First I have to have it get some TLC en then play it.

Old Longhorn bass, could it be an dano or not?

I recall an conversation about old guitars in the netherlands I once had with an old collector. He told me and some bystanders a story on a vintage guitarfair about the longhorn being one of the first and only US made bassguitar to be available in the 60's in the netherlands. 9fenders were...

Old Longhorn bass, could it be an dano or not?

If you look at the 3rd picture of the serials on neckpocket it seems to look just like mine. 3 screw holes and an tilt system. Also the truss rod system appears to be the same. Invalid Link Removed also on that site # # 1956-1969: Poplar bolt-on necks with Brazilian rosewood fingerboards...

Old Longhorn bass, could it be an dano or not?

To me it doesn't matter if it's a real one or not. I just love to own obscure bassguitars. And I love to puzzle out as much as I can about the unknown basses that I own. The trussrod system is really wierd.

Old Longhorn bass, could it be an dano or not?

Every Dynelectron I've seen has a 4 screw bolt on neck and a different trussrod system. And als there some other differences. And they dn't have the "tilt" screw thing in place. Found some dynelectron pics on the online "bible" of italian made guitars. Invalid Link Removed

Old Longhorn bass, could it be an dano or not?

It's a rare bird and I just couldn't let it pass. I collect old odd/strange bassguitars. Most of them european made. When I drove away from home to pick it up I was thinking maybe it's an italian made dynelectron but it looks to much dano to be one of those. I've owned one of those a few years...

    Commodore bass?

it sure looks like an 70's made in japan bassguitar. They come in lot's of brandnames. In fact anyone who did buy a certain number of them could get the name he wanted on the headstock. I think 160 pounds is a good/fair price for it. The Pups on basses like this have the habbit of being...
