Official Squier Vintage Modified Bass VI Club

I have mutes on both of my Bass Vi's and they work great. They're a bit difficult to install if you're not used to moding instruments. OSG has an install guide if I remember correctly. Once set up properly they are awesome. Foam has to be replaced ever couple of years with regular use. I'd love...

    Pickguards from Neagle Luthier?

Hey man, I have been on a break from making pickguards for a bit due to personal reasons. I should have my shop open again in a couple of weeks. Sorry for the lack of response but I get about 20-50 questions a day and can’t really respond till I get closer to reopening in order to deal with said...

It will change the feel of the string [i.e. less flexibility] (due to malleability of the metal over [less] overall string length) though not the tension since the scale length is the same. It will add to the downforce on the bridge as Khutch said which can add to sustain but a shim will do the...

    Bugera Bass Amps???

I've been thinking of updating my cabs a bit. An old friend of mine works for Bergantino now. I may have to talk to him a bit about options.

    Reverb and Delay in One?

Line 6 M5 or M9. Great reverbs and delays. Easy to use. Lots of other effects too. You can find them used easily enough and usually pretty cheap.

    Bugera Bass Amps???

So, I recently purchased a BVV3000. I got it refurbished directly from Music-Group. When I got it in it unfortunately had a damaged back grill even though the box looked fine. I tested it out to make sure it worked and it was a bit quiet. I thought I might as well go through and swap a few tubes...

Best guard color for bass w/natural finish

I designed that guard in the original post to the spec the customer supplied. I thought it turned out nice and he loved it. We both agreed that it would look better with chrome knobs so I ordered some for him. I also designed one for that model that is close to the shape of a MusicMan Sterling...

Mando Frets? Because they're skinny? Or because they are low?

There are lot's of different mandolin fret wires. I'd love to hear some opinion as to what people think of when the hear that. I'd say most are referring to what is commonly known as Vintage fret wire.

    making a pickguard...

Btw my clear guards are lexan and are .090 instead of the .100 that most of my competition offers. I also buff out the bevel.

Original Fender Tortoise Pickguards-Why Are They Not Made

I'm sure they are using a single layer material which is not too pricey but laminating it to the body and bobbin is not easy so i'm sure it was pretty damn expensive. Of course all Masterbuilt models are pricey anyway.
