I've successfully used Behringer amps for many years.
My first combo amp was a 300w, 12" alu cone combo.
It ran at 180w, and was good enough for the moderate volume gigs. Dials at 12 o clock, meant full volume. With some passive basses I could dial to 2, but anything more was overdriven. I often ran it at max volume setting, and the combo amp is still used to this date, 12 years later.
I recently bought the 300w digital bass head from Behringer, and soundwise couldn't be happier!
Much like tc electronics' 15" combo, as well as the older behringer bass amps, it seems hard to actually get a bad sound out of that amp!
It's so versatile, and I love it. My only complaint would be, cabs with a tweeter sometimes have their tweeter buzz or click.
I'm running the 300 with an Eden 12", 250W coax cab, no clicking, super punchy and deep.
I also used for many years Behringer 4 channel mixer, Behringer eurolive B210D and B208D cabs. They sound very good and loud. The 208D and 210D use digital poweramps of about 200 and 250W. They're great as a personal monitor on stage for synth or EWI or piano/keys.
Also make great personal vocal mic monitors.
For anything like 3 singers, you better use a 210 or 212.
All of these speakers sound very good, and some have lasted me a good 10 years.
I always try to run it below 75%, most of the time below 50% of its rated output.
My first 300W bass head blew up, after I had misread the Ohms reading, and connected 1x8ohms cabs, and 1x4 ohms cabs to the amp. It blew at 2.3ohms, but running either 4 ohms 12", or 2x8ohms 2x6" (for a stack of 4x6" @300W), the new amp I got, worked great!
With that, I would probably advise to be careful about the ohms ratings, and to keep the amp from operating beyond 80% of its maximum.
Most of the time, Behringer rates power at Peak power.
If the amp has 2 outputs, (eg stereo/bridged), or hi/lo output, their 2000w amp's rating would give 1000W rms total, or 500w per channel.
Behringer knows if you run a 500W low frequency cab, you only will need 200W for the top at most, or the sound will be uneven, so you won't ever really go beyond 700W (1400W peak) on these amps anyway.
Besides, if your power line gives 120V, and breaker at 12A, total power transfer before the breaker trips, would be 1640W anyway. Going more would trip the breaker.
At 1400W output, your amp most likely draws 1500W from the grid.
