Bass took a bad fall today and landed on the tuners. Two of the keys popped off and I’m not sure what to do. Are these repairable or do I just need to buy a new pair?

What has been everyone’s favorite EQ and SGT settings so far? I’m liking a nice scooped sound with bass at 3 o’clock, mid at 10 o’clock and treble at 2 o’clock. I haven’t found my perfect setting on the SGT so far and looking for some thoughts on that.

Looks awesome. I’d love to hear some more details on this amp. GC has a VT12 for sale and I’ve been looking for a tube or hybrid combo/head.

My thoughts exactly on my 110, great review. Glad I sold my Rumble 40 for it. Sounds great with a VT pedal as well. Can’t wait for the 210 to come in stock.

With that dark fretboard and the matching headstock I think that would look great. I think I spent around $200 for everything including the tuners. Definitely a project that was worthwhile.

My understanding is that most if not all Stingrays pre-2000s are alder. After 2000 they are ash.

The grain on the body and neck looks awesome. Great purchase.

Thanks, I agree. The small things like the control plate and screws made a huge difference even if the fit and finish was off.

Gorilla glue was just the manufacture, it’s some pretty mild arts and crafts adhesive. Just figured it would work since the stock bushings had some sort of adhesive around them. Had to knock them free with a punch and rubber mallet. I’ll try some thin tape around it next time if I ever do...

Update: got the black tuners and bridge installed. The small parts like the screws and control plate got lost in the mail so hopefully those will be here within the week. Looks a lot better so far than I was expecting. Glad I’m getting rid of the chrome.

Edit: I used tiny bit of hot gorilla glue around the ferrules and that got them to fit snug. First time installing new tuners on my bass. Grabbed a set of Hipshot HB7s to throw on my MIM Jazz Bass. A couple of the ferrules feel a little loose. I can pull them out just by using my fingernails...

Not yet, still waiting on a few parts before I do a real setup on it all. Tomorrow I’m replacing all the screws with black ones anyways.
