Round 2. Similar results. This time inside the house. Tried applying heat. It makes the citrustrip turn to glue. Not helping. I tried roughing it up a little with a scouting pad. Not helping. Advice?

it doesn't look that way. i've got the 6 string jazz. there is plenty of room in the rout for one of these. the stock pickup is only 4 inches wide in the first place. the bass bar 4 will fit. the PG looks like it will have to be routed. I intended on changing mine anyway

hello given that this pickup is 4 separate coils, could one use a switch or pot to select between all 4 coils engaged like a normal MM, and then to a staggered P style config? it seems clear that one could select the front coils or the back coils, but could you mix and match? i wish to get...

i'll bite. my buddy has an l2k, an olp mm, a dean p bass, and a peavey J. all pretty different. the most visually striking is the neon green dean. and surely you'd say the l2k sounds the best. but when it comes to recording, its normally a toss up between the l2k and the mm copy. 300 dollar bass...

theres generally a bass cut filter at the input of guitar pedals. trims away unnecessary signal, makes it easier for the pedal to process. some have different values, some don't have it at all. its hit or miss. but keeping things with a clean blend is always a safe bet

ive not tried the TC unit, but the tech 21 bass boost chorus is on my list. that sweet detune.

would there be a level issue going straight into the EQ? that was the plan. get both basses as equal and clean as possible, then process further.

i am quite partial to SD2 so far. i used bfd at a studio and it was pretty good, more flexible, etc, but even still, it didnt sound as good. i would like superior drummer to have more options of tuning the drums as well as dampening, but it will certainly do for now.

i'll be a lot more excited when i see a 5 string. preferably with a maple board. also preferably bolt on neck. as cool as these look and as nice as they are sure to be, without those specs, i just can't get down on it. i know my buddy is going to want one though
