Has A Famous Bassist Ever Played Your Bass?

Mr. Ron Carter used my '65 Precision for a few tunes at a concert in Vancouver, BC about 1970. Our company (Deyong Sound) supplied the PA and backline and I mixed FOH. All-Star band including Hubert Laws, Grover Washington Jr, Johnny "Hammond" Smith, George Benson and other great musicians I...

    Question about RCA theater speakers.

Far better to sell them to a crazed audiophile for big bux. Buy new speakers designed for electric bass. Take the money left over and buy another bass. Or two!

I've been soldering for 5 decades. That is not flux. As previously stated, it's purple dye, likely applied upon final inspection. Regards, Skip

Here's the big picture. I went for the close-up head shot before, as my Precision has the worst refinish on the body I have ever seen. Looks like it was done with a cornbroom! Fortunately the rest of the bass is all original and very nice, and plays and sounds great. Note the SLM VT-60 amp...

Jimmy, Thanks for the membership! The B-12XY is a guitar (and accordian!) amp with a Jensen 12", Jensen horn tweeter (unfortunately blown) and a seperate reverb speaker (unfortunately not the original one). It has beautiful reverb and true vibrato. A very sweet sounding guitar amp. The...
