I have a pair of RCA MI-9449 15.5" 30 ohm theater speakers which I intend to recone and install in a bass cab. My question is how do I match impedance to a Gallien Krueger 400RB amp?

Unless loaded in horns as they were intended they won't work very well. Does your cab look like this?I have a pair of RCA MI-9449 15.5" 30 ohm theater speakers which I intend to recone and install in a bass cab.
You have them reconed with an 8 ohm coil.My question is how do I match impedance to a Gallien Krueger 400RB amp?
Far better to sell them to a crazed audiophile for big bux. Buy new speakers designed for electric bass. Take the money left over and buy another bass. Or two!
The response is from the cab, not the driver. Put that driver in a typical electric bass cab and they won't do squat below 100 Hz.Yes, the cabs they were out of look exactly like that. I've heard they have very low frequency response.
The RCA cab is likely down only 3dB at 40 Hz. Your typical ported 410 or 115 is down at least 10dB at 40 Hz. But a tad more portable. If they only go down to 40 hz, that's no more than your typical ported 410 or 115.
