I had a Studio Bass back in '81 or so.....awesome amp, I kick myself for ever getting rid of it! Hard to believe that so much sound could come out of a 1-15" combo!!!
I know in my previous job we have used a type of dye to check for cracks in metal. Possibly for bad solder joints, but I'm only guessing.

By the way. Isnt that duncan the 8000? I never got to cracking mine open but yours looks like it? Unless its just a stereo head for more output
