Thanks , i assume even my bass guitar was new when i got it few weeks ago that the strings have been on the bass for quite a while from the factory. I will try to replace them with the new strings and see how it goes, any particular type of strings? roundwound or flat , smaller gauges? Cheers...

Thanks for your reply Linnin, i also saw a lot of people's post on here regarding those dead spots on the bass guitars, even the most expensive one ( Fender, Warwick etc....) most of the bass owners said those are the characteristic parts of the bass guitars and just live with it or work around it.
