I never cared for the Hofner sound. Didn't want a double either. My first was a Gibson Grabber with the sliding pickup. It had more of the sound I wanted and it was't tinny!! I went to bass because they carry the grove.

If it's a medium scale what is it? You don't see a full 2 octave neck in a scale shorter than 34".

My Madeira bass, with Fender nylons, Ampeg Micro head (200w) and 4-8 SVT cab and 112 SVT cab. I line out if I need it but usually don't. I've got a GK stack if I need more volume, but it doesn't have the tightness of the Ampeg set-up.

There's a few that are getting gigs in SW Missouri, but not many. I hope it changes with the weather.
