    Yes, the basses are amazing...I worked with Toshio from the beginning and marketed them for years in the early 90's...He knew about those Tribute basses, but I think the deal was shady. He may have disapproved at a later time with the maker in Korea. I'm not sure. But I do know they were selling...

    Not exactly...the Bossa logos came from the Bossa co..in Osaka. They can't sell fakes in Japan from Korea with the factory in downtown Osaka.

    The Bossa co...had the cheaper basses made in Korea. They were part of the Bossa line.

    The Mid range Bossa are made in Korea. I think with a few upgrades they are fantastic value.

    They are made in the Philippines... Some really good wood but the rest crap. I think the owner is making them there for a different price point only..

    Actually, there are many for sale here in Japan...the best one is the Brazilian rosewood with rosewood neck..the tuners, preamp, and pickups are JUNK...but when you replace them the sound is so unique.
