To me Noble is tonewise far superior to MkIIIs. Noble preserves and enhances the organic sound of the instrument. Preserves the musical harmonics, bigger sound, more headroom, more “3D”. That said, the SLO3s is more versatile, but tonewise just another preamp, IMHO.

Great review! The new version MkIIIS is announced on the SL website today: Invalid Link Removed It features a micro SD card slot and the cabsim pos. 1 is SUNN 200s 2x15 instead of the Ampeg B15. I wonder why they did that..

Have you tried the SLO3 into the Noble? Better, much better or neutral compared to without The Noble?

Where did you buy those sweet tiny bass clefs? They have only bigger ones on eBay. Btw, I’ve just placed an order of the Olympic. The GAS is overwhelming:woot: I will use it between the Cali76 cb compressor and the Noble DI.

I have the BH550. What is TubeTone? I can't find it in the sound library in the Toneprint app. How do you combine Spectracomp and TubeTone at the same channel? EDIT: I got it now:thumbsup: A RH feature(knob) which I don't have on my bh550.

I totally agree. In this short YT video I use roundwound strings, Warwick bass and TC Electronics BH550 basshead.

I bought this one unseen last night, on eBay. Scary as heck! I’ve never before paid so much for a single item on eBay.. But the gut feel is good though. Dealer in LA where I bought it got the bass straight from the Fender factory in CA just few days ago. Christmas gift from me to me:)
