    another identify the bass quiz!

Yeah thats 100 AUD though. And junk is fun :D. However you are absolutely correct. Theres an Ibanez EWB going for the same price, just thought I'd check it out, things do slip through the cracks of ebay when sellers don't know what they have or don't advertise it well. Cheers guys.

    another identify the bass quiz!

This acoustic bass has turned up on ebay. The dude selling it has no idea of it's origins but it's damn cheap and hass an odd headstock logo of an apple with a treble(!) clef in it. Any ideas??? Invalid Link Removed

    pine-wood bass body is go.

Cole Clark make acoustic guitars out of Bunya, an Australian Pine. I have one with bunya b&s and Spruce top and it sounds amazing. They also make them with Bunya tops. They use all solid timbers and are instruments of the highest quality, so pine as a tonewood? Hell yeah... Invalid Link Removed

Hey thanks a lot! they are the only other pics Ive EVER seen of this bass, there are a couple of slight differences. Mine is a 2 pup model so has an extra tone knob and 2 pup selector switches. Still has the pup covers and bridge ashtray (just not on it). Also mine has an angled headstock hence...

    Pick or Fingers

I was a guitar player first and when I first bought a cheapo Peavey milestone I played it with a pick but soon moved to fingerstyle. It gives you more 'thump' and more bass content in your note (it is a BASS after all). If you are worried about speed, it just comes down to practice. Check out...

Aria & Aria Pro II Club (Part Two)

Unknown model or year Aria bass. Vintaxe reckons it was made between 63-66. The only identifying marks on it are "Steel reinforced neck made in Japan" on the 5 bolt neck plate. Any info would be really appreciated!

    Post your vintage Japanese basses

Heres my 90s MIJ Fernandes Jazz. Very nice. Plus an Aria of unknown model or year (vintaxe reckons its made between 63-66). Sounds like an eb3 ie fat and muddy! The standard truss rod was rubbish so had a new dual action one installed. Love MIJ instruments, great quality at a ridiculously low...

the official "Show your basses" thread part 11

This is my first post ever so i thought I'd start with at curly one. This is an Aria bass of unknown year or model (any ideas anyone?). Vintaxe reckons it was made between 63-66. There are no serial numbers anywhere on it. Plays nicely, medium c neck. Sounds interesting, very much like an eb3...
