Thank you very much, you have some BEAUTIFUL basses by the way, I think my jaw dropped at first sight of them.

I do have a question though, what forum would I go to in order to ask about scales and such- that's what I have a lot of problems with??

Hi,

well, here are my main basses:

From left to right:
- a Squire Precision-converted-to-Stingray
- a home made 6-string with Ken Smith pickups
- a Tobias 6-string
- a Grand Stick with modified pickup placement
- a home made headless, fretless 5-string
Haven't been able to choose my favorite from the middle ones... love these 3 most. The Tobias wins for beautiful tone, the "Ken Smith" is fantastic in the mix, and the Stick sounds sooo pretty for acoustic guitar-like stuff.

Was the 30th Anniversary the Stingray with the all rosewood neck? Love the color!

No, the 30th had a mahogany body and gloss finished birdseye maple neck. I so wish they still made the all-rosewood necks, they were fantastic.

Hey thanks a lot! they are the only other pics Ive EVER seen of this bass, there are a couple of slight differences. Mine is a 2 pup model so has an extra tone knob and 2 pup selector switches. Still has the pup covers and bridge ashtray (just not on it). Also mine has an angled headstock hence no string tree. Aside from these things they appear to be the same bass or at least very closely related. Even the same color!

John Turner, that fretless 7 string on the far right (I believe it is a Conklin also?) will pretty much always be my favorite bass to look at. God it's beautiful.

My first build bass, and using it as mane bass now(sold my wal mk1 for it)

And my Sandberg thinline fretless, amazing bass.

No but it has something that comes really close. Acguitar filterpreamp. The pickups(humbuckers) are custom build by bassculture (ebony and 7 peace laminated maple/mahony ring).
The bass can go from a full sounding stingray (humbucking) and also that typical Wal sound. And with the switches in single mode it is one of best sounding jazz sound I came across. That is why I sold my real Wal mk1. There is also a in and out phase switch. Out phase the sound is very banjo like, which I really like. Really a nice twang to it.
And on top of it all this is a real killer slap bass (much like thompson sound/ less claypool with the pu's in single mode).

On my website I have a few bad quality soundclips(didn't had a good recorder; my house was resonating on the recording . I will make some new ones soon.

The ACG preamp is something that i come across quite often lately, Im trying to make a DIY filter bassed outboard preamp.

And al the expectations became true, I also wanted to get close to that Wal sound. This one does that! But you also need good quality pu's. And of course a well build bass.
Do you have pictures or schema's on the filter preamp that you are building? I am curious

I built that one sometime within the past year. She's a parts bass through and through. Fender replacement neck on an unidentified body, high mass bridge, 1/4 pounder pickup.

Nope im still on the research part. But if i get to the point where it is feasible to build such pedal im posting it here on TB!
