Just Nate Mendel and Geezer Butler talking about the pbass

Even Geezer moved on to better quality “pbass” style basses. Among others.

Just Nate Mendel and Geezer Butler talking about the pbass

Absolutely! That’s a “don’t forget how legendary we are” video release. I’ll bet there are more coming as well!

What noise gate are the metal heads using!

I read on another forum that the Boss NS-2 colours the sound a bit with units made after 2005? 🤷🏼‍♂️ Don’t know if there’s any truth to that, just read it.

What noise gate are the metal heads using!

I like what you’re saying here. I still need something for live playing, but I guess for recording I could do this via plugin. I’ve only got 12 years of sparsely using a DAW, so my go to is to always tailor the sound before interface. 👊🏻

What noise gate are the metal heads using!

I’m going to explore all the options. Want to be able to use for live sound as well. But recoding is more important.

What noise gate are the metal heads using!

This seems to be the easiest one to get ahold of. And not crazy pricey!

What noise gate are the metal heads using!

I want to get my chug on! I’m doing some tracks were bass is the headline instrument. I’m looking for a pretty heavy, chunky chug. Ola Englund style! I’m using a Darkglass B3K for my dirt, a EHX Bass Preacher for squeeziness, and an EHX Pitchfork for some octaving. I’m looking for that tight...

TRAYNOR Mono Block B and Mono Block II WDYT?

I think you had to know Pete and why he did the things he did. I fully understand the perspective you think you have. This wasn’t a marketing stunt that they openly shared with the public/media. It wasn’t until many years later that the info was shared publicly. Unless you were in the Toronto...

🤤 Gotta be the most incredible left handed bass ever made! The more you look at it, the better it gets! Alembic loveliness!

TRAYNOR Mono Block B and Mono Block II WDYT?

The one in the video was taken out of a rental fleet at a Long and McQuade store in Toronto. 😂 Pete Traynor only spent 13 or 14 years in the amplifier building industry, but he left a monstrous mark!!

TRAYNOR Mono Block B and Mono Block II WDYT?

Their durability impressed the music world at the time. Steve Miller. Elvis even. Heck even Peavey were impressed. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Haters goon hate though I guess…. They tested prototypes. So if they survived, production units would. Since they never strayed from what worked. If the prototype worked, and...

TRAYNOR Mono Block B and Mono Block II WDYT?

Pete Traynor did it with every product he made. Until they moved their production facility to a place that had no second story. They used a forklift far a short time, but that proved to disruptive to warehouse productivity. In 80’s when they moved to carpeting finish instead of vinyl, they...
