They're very comfortable to play, smooth almost like a classical guitar. Bass doesn't roar but the sound is warm, no secondary noises while moving over the fretboard. Probably they would sound even better on a fretless bass. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone. Cheers

Finally, the Status Hot Wire bass strings are here. I've tried the 'hand wound, double-ball, black nylon' set first. This is how the 908 mm (35 ¾") strings look on both ends. The balls are visible on the bridge side, yet I had no problems setting it up. I like the black on black looks...

So I've ordered 2 sets from Status: Black Nylon & Flat Wound. Both double ball. I'll let you know if I experience any problems with them.
