How about this for a cab to pair with my AC4TV? I've read in several other forums that the AC4TV runs fine with an 8ohm load. Do you guys think this would be a good match? Anybody have any experience with this particular cab...

I think that is your answer right there. Take it to an amp tech. I don't know that much about electricity but I do know that this type of thing can be lethal. Something is not grounded properly. You don't want to be the guinea pig in this scenario.

What about the EH Small Stone? I have an old Russian made model that sounds great. There might be some loss of low end but not enough to bother me.

I like Chromes. They are high tension but I like high tension, I don't like my strings to feel any kind of floppy. I don't know how they would be for fretless though.

Once you stretch them out really good they should not lose there tuning too much. I would be more concerned about your tone. If you like that extra zingy new string tone then it won't be a problem. I personally don't like the sound of brand new bass strings. There are just way too many...

I like tdpri.com. It is mostly about Telecasters but a lot of the content is not specific to only that type of guitar. It is my other favorite internet forum.
