Which looks better on a Lake Placid Blue p-bass?
A maple fretboard
or a rosewood?
Flip a coin. Both look good.
I like rosewood. It is supposed to sound darker than maple too right?
Maple relics better over time. Your dirty ol' p bass will look way dirtier...
...especially sexy with a red tort pickguard.
Look at the maple it sounds clanky. I love clanky sound.
Hmmm...let me do the math. I've got 5 maple boards... and only two rosewood boards... so I personally like maple at least twice as much... but rosewood is nice too!
A! By far IMO.
The Maple by a mile, rosewood looks like crap without a matching headstock.
I like to see that color blue with a maple board. Rosewood is good but, I see it all the time.
If the pickups were cream colored to more closely match the maple I would have voted differently, although bass "B" needs a black bridge and knobs to complete the picture.
Rosewood, kinda matches the pickups
Yeah Maple..both my basses are...+1 on the looking better over time as well.
Depends on whether or not you keep that pickguard.
I think the darker fingerboard *looks* better... But I prefer the sound of the P with maple board...
maple all the way
