    Kala UBass Megathread, Part 7

What are the differences in the strings and why do you hate the Rumblers/love the Pahoehoes?

    Kala UBass Megathread, Part 7

I agree, I may be heading in this direction, but without the door, the ubass is even quieter while unplugged. Not that it matters that much, but I mostly noodle alone unplugged.

    Kala UBass Megathread, Part 7

Thanks for the velcro suggestion, but the door barely sits flush with the back of the bass. Are your doors exactly flush?

    Kala UBass Megathread, Part 7

I went with the Rumbler at first - I bought it and brought it home for a couple of days. I ended up exchanging it for the EM because I preferred the finish of the EM as well as the upgraded tuners, road toad inlay, and the string change hole. Kala UBass Megathread, Part 7

Got an Exotic Mahogany model u-bass tonight! I love it. I bought the Rumbler on Sunday but exchanged it for the EM. I like the finish, the better tuners and the inlay on the EM. I have also found that the hatch in the back for changing strings is handy for moving wires around to minimize...

Wow, nice matching set! Do they sound the same other than the obvious fret/fretless?

Well, since no one has stepped up to handle the membership numbers, I'll take a stab at it unless someone objects. Sad if this club died. So many awesome basses out there. Cornelius Dawse, you are #97 and aksteve, you are #98. Welcome aboard! That is a beautiful goldtop, Steve, let's see...
