How did you go man? How do the Areas sound compared to the Sadowsky HC?

Yeah I honestly think the pickups make way more difference than the type of wood in the body...

I'm digging this thread back up because it's a good one... I have a MIJ 62 reissue Jazz with stock ceramics and I'm going to say that the pickups in that vid on the MIJ sound like ceramics, I actually don't mind them but I'm probably going to replace them, missing the top end zing of alnicos...

Does this sound like flatswounds on a pbass or jbass? Or round wound? Hard to say... It's actually really hard to get this sound on my pbass with flats, amped? DI? Either way I absolutely love this bass tone!
