    Headphones through GK amp?

Hello bass playing friends, I recently acquired a GK 700rbII and I gotta tell you it is a thing of beauty. I was wondering though if any of you all had an idea on how to run headphones through it so I can jam late night without getting the cops called. Any ideas? Thank you!

The most and the least versatile bands of all time.

I would say kings of Leon are not versatile at all, check out their aha shake heartbreak album before they really broke into the mainstream. That said I love the aha shake heartbreak album :D

    Gordo Club (Mike Gordon)

Most definitely a great addition... any advice on how to make that kind of sound? I know i've heard it in a Widespread song or two and elsewhere. Or if there are any good videos on the art of tapping I would appreciate it, tried before but sounds nothing like what I was hoping for :eyebrow:

    Favorite "uncomplicated" basslines.

Gotta agree with the previously mentioned Hey Joe, one of the first songs I really noticed the bass. I'll give a list of the first songs I played when I picked up the bass as about a 10 year old (21 now) "Rikki Don't Lose that Number" by Steely Dan Riders on the storm was probably the...

    Gordo Club (Mike Gordon)

What in the world does the man do to get that sound/ effect in tweezer right before they sing in the chorus? It's super subtle but sounds so sinfully funky

    Learning the keys of songs

Thanks... I wasn't so much worried about chord changes because that's pretty easy to hear by ear, I was more worried about the key because that makes it much easier to play/improvise on a song if you know the key... I learned a lesson that if you listen to a song and hum with it your brain can...

    Favorite pedal

I'm curious to hear what everyone's favorite pedal is, and the sound or effect that pedal gives you... I'd say it is my moog mf 101, I dig that funky quack it gets when it's tweaked just right... Yea buddy!

Any advice or tips on picking up the keys of songs just by listening to them by ear?

    Let Us Hear Your Band

What's up talk bassers! This is a nice ol' voice memo iphone recording of me and my buddies playing in our house at school. It's 27 minutes so I won't force you to listen to the whole thing, but if you wanna check out around 15-20 minutes I think is some cool stuff, and right around 21 minutes...

    Flatwound vs Roundwound

What's going on fellow jamboozlers - I'm thinkin about switching my string of choice from Ernie Ball Super Slinky Nickel Wound to some flatwound strings. I don't know what a good brand is or what I can expect from them, so I'm relying on some words of wisdom from you guys. I play a Fender...

How Does Your Band Get to Gigs?

I'm in college with my two other bandmates, and the house we practiced in this past year (lived in an apartment last year = many a noise complaints) was usually never more than a fifteen minute drive from the bars we'd play. I would put the drums and my bass in the back of my SUV while my...
