    Started at 15 and bought my first "expensive" bass (my '74 Fender Jazz) at 17.

    Nearly nothing. Maybe a few bites of scrambled eggs for lunch. I'm not nervous before going on stage, but everything I eat feels like a big stone in my stomach. I can only eat when the gig is done.

    Basses You Wanted To Hate, But Couldn’t

    Ovation Magnum. I hated it because it was so ugly, but when I got the chance to play one I was surprised because it sounded and played fantastic. It was just a bit heavy. And way too expensive, otherwise I would have bought that ugly wonderful thing.
