OK, but i think the woods and the neck feeling make the differences. for example, if you have an American Standard Jazz bass and a Jazz made in mexico, and you put the USA Fender pickups to the mexico's Jazz, the last will not sound like an original made in USA...similar ok, but NOT same...

i have also USA SB-1 made in 1990..and i have tried an SB-2 Tribby... The USA sb-1 is much better in all points if view.:bassist:

Hi Luis781, i'm in the same situation. i've selling now a Tribute l2500 because i want buy a USA L2500. the Tribute is a fantastic bass, but the USA made is better..

the price is wrote in the middle of page 2 of the thread..between 2.300-2.600 euro, (without custom options). it's a great price for me!! for example, about 2.000 euro less than the 4.000 euro for a Noah Bass aluminium instrument.

...I remember that the J-sp5, will be the first aluminium 5-string in the world...

..personally i find "Alusonic Instruments" more beautiful and pretty cool than the "Specimen"... totally another category of basses!!:smug:

the EMG pickups fit perfectly into the "holes" of RBX375. (the EMG soapbar is little smaller in lenght, than the original yamaha, about 5mm in total (2.5mm for side) and the width is about the same) i've excluded the bartolini pickups beacuse i don't lilke it, i'd prefer the EMG pickups.. the...

Hi, i've a Yamaha RBX375, is a good bass for the price its costs, but i don't like the pickups and electronics. i want to replace the pickups with an active EMG pickups, and remove the onboard pre-amp. is it a good idea? what' type of EMG pickups are the best coiche? (DC, CS, etc...) anyone...

is it true thant the black binding around the fretboard is painted?

Because the Fender is the "history" of Electric Basses..and have a "Name". Most musiciants are traditionals, and prefers Fender basses, like a Jazz and Precision, that have made the story of the music in 50 years.. But, for me, g&L made bests instruments than a Fender!!
