    Chet baker is good also. He plays standards and uses very cliche lines i.e. 3 to 7 resolutions bebop licks etc.

    Yeah I had to do a similar process when I was at jazz school. I will of then make a loop of the solo and listen to it for a week or so on my iPod and in my car so I really know the solo before I start transcribing.
