    Double Bass Well...I laughed.

I tried the roast beef and it was delicious!

This is how you paint a bass (when you have zero patience)

Very nice! I’m about to do my first build and paint job and I’m not a fan of high gloss either. As you say, I like to feel the wood. Thanks for the inspiration!

Ampeg BA-110 v.2 or Ampeg BA 115HP, Need Help Choosing

I have both an ampeg and a rumble; I prefer the rumble as brighter and more crisp. But what the holy heck is going on in that first picture?? That is some bass nightmare happening. Get a stand or put it away in the case!

Customizing A Nash... yes or no?

Update: Project is complete! It sounds AMAZING, I’m totally blissed out. I also discovered I freakin love working on my instruments as much as playing them; changing pups and pots was more fun than an erector set! I’m looking forward to DIY bass and guitar builds for future instruments!

Customizing A Nash... yes or no?

Hey, thanks a lot. I’m really happy to hear from another Nash owner. Yes, I’m keeping the parts just in case. So funny... usually I’m the first to say, “It’s your guitar, do what you want to it to make you happy”, but the higher price point and boutique nature of the instrument made me...

Customizing A Nash... yes or no?

I decided a couple of years ago to buy an intermediate-level bass and stumbled upon my used JB-63. Nash of course is known for not only the playability and tone of his guitars, but also the relic-ing. When I bought it, the sound and feel are what drove me to the purchase. The relic stuff was...
