My favorite 5 string ray. They're rare, expensive, and being a lefty bassist, almost impossible to find.

They're not horribly heavy. I've had lighter basses than my edge 09, but most of those basses weren't very good. You can get a fairly light bass of high quality, but you'll pay more money. Heavy doesn't always mean good tone, and light doesn't always mean poor tone.

My Edge 09 is still my favorite bass. It doesn't get as much play these days as I've been playing my 5 string Ibanez, but it's still a pretty good bass. Depending on what you want to use it for that is. If you're looking for a cheap beater or a starter instrument, then the Edge 09 is great...
