Daaaam, I like!!!
But I finally ordered a Juggernaut, which is currently on its way to me, so that'll be a hold on basses for a little bit
Just the one I wanted too, Sunburst with a Maple fretboard!!

299 with a hardshell case, can't beat THAT!
I see that the Gold Eric Bass sig Hillsboros are priced at $800! Worth every penny if you ask me, but thats about twice what their street price was, right?
I paid waaaaaay less than 400 for mine, damn are they made well.

Very nice Juggernaut.
What did you pay for it with case and shipping if I may ask? Oooops, never mind…skimming through messages is a bad habit and hard to break.$299 w/HSC is a great price!
New or used? I think you’ll really enjoy it. They’re those great fast necks thin narrow and satin that you and many here appreciate.

Incidentally, that case is almost exactly what I bought for my Paramount and Juggernaut basses as Dean does not sell a HSC that fits these basses.

I think that gold Eric Bass signature Hillsboro might be an anomaly as they had one about 2 months ago at the same time as the one currently advertised for $499. Maybe the one currently advertised is really NOS?

Be aware that after 90 days CG does start to consider offers on used inventory per email conversation I had with CG staff concerning an offer I made on the Dean USA Motto bass currently on sale.
[edit] question about price

Hey fellow Dean players. Haven't been active in a long time. Been busy with life and stuff. Also haven't been playing my dean edge 09 lately because I more or less retired it because it's getting pretty worn out. Anyway, I bought this a few days ago and it arrived today. Don't know exactly what year or model it would be, but I'm sure @B-Mac would know. I bought it because I've been looking for an older dean for awhile, something made in not in China with two pickups. I've been looking for a 5 but settled 4 this 4. It got extra points for not being black because I own too many black basses being a lefty. Restrung it upon arrival and set it up, and it plays pretty nice. Way better than the edge 09. Though I'll never sell the edge 09.View attachment 20210717_193559.jpg View attachment 20210717_193637.jpg

Well, right off the bat that is a Korean Edge of some sort from 1998.
Right now, I’m at the local watering hole having a Moscow Mule or two or three and dinner. However, when I get back home I can post some catalog info if you post some pix of the pups and controls and the back of the body where the neck connects to the back of the neck.

Looks like a nice snag for a bass that is 23 years old!

also, nice to hear from you @TheBassmaster27, don’t be a stranger. Us Dean aficionados need to stick together :D

Don’t sell the 09 short. That satin finished back of neck paired with thin neck profile and narrow neck width at the nut is awesome!

I think it’s one of the best kept secrets out there!

@TheBassmaster27 this is the best I can do without the requested additional pics.:hyper:

’98 and ‘99 catalog info

I hope it’s working out for you.

So how does it sound ? Should sound great with those Hz pickups. I have heard them on a local guys Schecter Studio
It does sound great. Plus it has 3 band active EQ. The bass body is a bit unwieldy when playing seated due to the size/shape of the body. Its pretty much the only bass I use a strap with even though I play seated. Another awesome thin narrow neck with back of neck satin finish. Had to get a bit of a set up for it as it had a buzz on the F# fret on the E string that would buzz when I fretted the F fret. It's gone now and for a 10 year old bass it is in really nice shape. It feels a bit heavy though, but I have not weighed it yet, but I'd bet it is close to 10 lbs.
Its very much like @barclaybass 's bass, but I don't recall what year model his is.

Sorry bro, I ain't been online much lately, YES IT CAME!!!
First, congrats on the Hybrid, same one as mine!!! I frigging love the one I have.
Secondly, this Juggernaut is a shaging AMAZING bass!!! I am utterly blown away at the fit, finish, quality of the materials, sound, playability and the neck profile.......how did this only get made for a few years?
I suppose everyone just thought it was another inexpensive Jazz bass copy, but this thing punches WAY above its weight class!
The DMT pickups sound absolutely fantastic, nice fat tone with great note definition and power, suitable for rock/hard rock, or Jazz if you want that bridge pickup sound and dial out the neck pickup, to pretty much anything in between.
As for the neck, what can I say its a Dean! I think its a bit wider and has a slightly flatter radius than my Eric Bass Hilly (guessing about that) , but I LOVE it.......it just feels great.
Also, its one of the prettiest factory Tobacco bursts that I've seen, its gorgeous!! It has this 3 dimensional figuring that pops in the light, as does the back of the neck......the neck actually has really pronounced flame figuring running down the entire neck! Its a VERY good looking bass. The figuring is hard to get in pics, but here goes........

Speaking of Jazz basses at or below 500 dollars, I wanted to love my Squier Vintage Modified Jazz bass SOOO much......it had a gorgeous 2 piece maple body with a bright, snappy & punchy sound from the Duncan designed pups, the maple fretboard & black block inlays with black binding looked fantastic.......

.........I just could NEVER get it to stop buzzing, nor could I get the neck adjusted properly. I just never got along with it.......and I have a lot of fine Squiers.
This Dean just blows away their Jazz basses! I have 3 Squier jazzes, An Affinity, a Vintage Modified and a Classic Vibe (the best of the Squiers), and at prices from between 299 and 499 the Juggernaut falls around the VM & CV price point and OBLITERATES them both.

Plenty here already agree with you! I never owned a Squire so I have no way to compare.

I picked up this Squier a few years back. I think it's a mb4. I paid $40 and it came with a hard case. The neck below the scarf joint is birdseye maple. The rosewood fretboard is very thick and highly figured with a abalone skull. Looks like Bart Simpson had it custom made.
