The difference is very slight. HD picks up more of the low lows and the HX is a tiny bit brighter. If I'm only rehearsing I use just one and it doesn't make a huge difference which one I pick. I do love having one of each! If I could get more I'd go with the HX but that's mainly as a (minor)...
