I want something that I can practice with but can also be used to gig. I'm leaning toward the 115 I must say. A couple of friends have also mentioned an ampeg combo which sounds nice but I do really love the BG250 sound and flexibility.

I'm hopefully going to invest in a new BG250 myself, the only problem is I can't decide between the 115 or the 208. On the one hand the 115 has that extra toneprint channel and is far bigger, but the 208 has the two speakers and is compact which is also a plus. I'm a little torn!

Very nice! The only other bass I own is an ESP ltd active 5 string. Actually started playing around 2 years ago but only 1 year seriously with my tutor and good practice. I found the 5 string a little difficult to start with, I have a list of basses I want someday when I'm rich ha!
