Made this from a Warmouth neck made of wenge/ebony and a tele body made of ash and zebrawood from a guy named Eric on ebay (he makes a lot of bodies, good stuff). Sounds great but weighs about 15lbs.

This was my first attempt at building my own bass. I got the neck from Warmoth and the body from a guy on ebay who makes a bunch of custom guitar and bass bodies. The neck is wenge with an ebony fingerboard, and the body is zebrawood on top and ash on the back. It's a string-through body...

I decided to just go back to standard wiring, and it works fine.

I star grounded my P/J with all of the ground wires going to the back of the tone pot. Now when I turn the volume down all the way I still get sound coming through. The volume gets louder if I turn the tone up while the vol is down. (this is actual sound from the pups, not a humming noise)

I used the schematic for the 3PDT in the last diagram and the tone knob does absolutely nothing with the switch in either position. I did this for a p/j with the vol wired like a jazz so the line out to the jack is attached where the "v" on the diagram is where the wire from the vol is coming...

I just finished assembling a new bass I had been working on and I took it in to get it set up because the string action is really high. The tech at the shop said that it looks like the guy who built the body cut the neck pocket about a 1/4 of an inch deeper than normal. I had a badass III...

I just built a bass that is string through-body. I am a big fan of LaBella "deep talkin basss" flatwounds, but they aren't long enough to go through body. Anyone know of any strings that are similar in quality that will be long enough? Thanks

I guess my question is does it matter which lug on the tone pot goes out to the jack?

I am using a wiring scheme like the one at the end of this thread with the 3PDT switch to select multiple tone circuits. Where would the wire or wires out to the jack go in a scheme like this? Thanks
