What are you reading Chapter 4

I happened upon a used book store yesterday during my travels and bought a copy of Bill Wyman's "Stone Alone" for $4.00 👍. I've been looking for a copy for the last 10 years. TD

Cool 60's basses (OTHER than main-stream brands)

The neck width at the nut on my 67 Vox Delta IV measures 1 3/8". It's such a cool bass but not a great player. TD

    Hofner-(not just Beatle Basses)-Group Part 2

Very sad to report that Hofner GmBH is no longer. The staff have been let go. All manufacturing has ended. The company has been sold to Thomann and a investor. At this time it's unknown what will become of the factory. TD 😢

NBD: Hofner 500/1 Green Line Violin Bass

I spoke to a friend at Hofner regarding this. He said that the factory does place the label with the serial number and model inside the 500/1 Green Line basses. It's placed on the back of the of the body and viewable through all three holes when the tone/volume pots are removed. TD

NBD: Hofner 500/1 Green Line Violin Bass

There should be a serial number label located inside the body under the control panel. TD

What was your very first bass guitar?

My first bass was a 1967 Sunburst Tele-Star TB-2 teardrop. This is it in the photo below. In a weak moment 20+ years ago I sold it and instantly regretted it so after 10 years of searching I found another one which I still own today. From this I moved to my Hofner 500/1. TD
