    JMJ Signature Road Worn Mustang!

Just put a set of La Bellas 70F-MUS strings on. Noticabley better at keeping in tune and cock on intonation. Bass feels different though and I cant make up my mind whether the tension is higher or lower than the stock Fender flats - but I like them better :-)

    JMJ Mustang Bass String Recommendations

I put the La Bella 70F-MUS strings on tonight and straight away the bass sounded much more 'right'. The intonation was noticably better and they seem to hold perfect tune too, something the Fenders struggled with at times. I didn't hate the Fenders that it came with but I consider the La Bella's...

My 760F-MUS have arrived and tempting though it is to hang fire until you let us know how you liked them, I think I'm just gonna take a punt and try them anyway :-)

    JMJ Mustang Bass String Recommendations

Pity there wasn't a response to your post as I am finding this too. I love the stock Fender strings (tone, feel, ease of play) but the E is too loose for me. Think I'll try the La Bella 760FL-MUS bass strings

A(nother) question regarding strings... I'm really loving the flats that came with this bass (Fender 9050L 45-100's IIRC). I love the tone, the feel and the ease of play on the A, D & G - but the E is maybe just a little too low tension. As a newbie, I dont know if I'll get used to it, but...

To those of you that have changed your strings to Chromes, can I ask, did you go for the short or medium scale? I know its a SS guitar, but wondered if the thru-body set up needed a bit more length and the stock Fenders are long scale yet fit ok (perhaps a little long on the E winding). Cheers
