What up! Any tips on playing my Rumble 500c quietly? My gf just moved in and she is not a fan of the vibrating walls that come from the (admittedly) absurd amount of dirt pedals I have. Turning the volume down on my Rumble just doesn’t give me the tone I want.
Are headphones my best option? I have a pair of Fender IEMs on the way that I’m hoping will allow me to get my tone. Anyone have any experience with the JHS little black box? I’m wondering if I should build my own real quick, throw it in the effects loop, and see if that will keep things at reasonable volumes.
Any advice appreciated!
Welcome back, ramy. Long time, no see.
Yeah, unfortunately, the virtual soundscape of headphones or earbuds, are gonna be your best bet where most anyone else not actively enjoying your practice are concerned. As I just told my son-in-law, who's SO thrilled with the subwoofer on his new surround sound system, bass frequencies will penetrate throughout your house, and your neighbors', much more than other frequencies. I've been thru this many, many times with my wife, and a couple of neighbors, and our daughter is certainly no different. And, especially anyone trying to sleep is going to be even more hypersensitive to bass frequencies. Sorry, just physics.
