My current setup is an Ampeg SVT4PRO head with the SVT610 classic cab. I've played out with it a couple of times so far, and I can't help but feel that it barely has enough output. My ex-drummer, as well as my new drummer both play very loud. You never know what kind of issues you may run into...

I have a Korg DTR1 rack tuner. My Ampeg SVT4pro head has an outlet in the back which is 300W max. Can I plug the tuner into it? or should I get a power conditioner?

Good idea. I decided to go ahead and order a 4U for my head. It's made by Eurolite. I prefer the look of it, over the plastic ones. If that works out well, I plan on getting a second one for additional equipment. Thanks all.

I am trying to decide on a rack case. At this point I have and Ampeg SVT4 Pro head and Ampeg 610 cab. I know that the head has a small vent in the back and larger vents on the side (which is a stupid design for a rackmount head). The head is 3U. Im not sure what to do about the side vents, I'm...

So i checked it out and it appears that I did not have the button pushed in for mono bridge. That could be part of the problem. Also, can someone tell me how to eq my amp (ex. bass 12oclock...etc.) or show a pic? thanks

I'm using the included mono-bridge cable. It's possible that maybe it isn't set to mono mode? (I think there's a switch in the back). I will check it out when I get home.

I played out with this amp for the first time last night and had some problems hearing myself, with the volume around 12oclock, gain 1 oclock. Between the stage monitors and my amp I didn't think I would have an issue. Im thinking the 810 would be a better match for the 4pro. It's not much...

So I've got the SVT4 PRO with the SVT610 cab. I cant get alot of volume out of it, without risking damaging the speakers. My buddy tells me I should add a 15. What do you think? If not, please say why.

I heard the svt4 takes up 3 rack spaces. The vents are on the sides of the head, so I should leave empty space for ventilation. What size rack/how many empty spaces should I have?

Do you use the SVT4 with the 610? my buddys trying to tell me its too much power for a 610 alone, so now im wondering.

interestingly enough it looks like the MB210 can be hooked up to an extension cab, but the MB212 (the one i have) cannot. im not sure why...maybe it has to do with ohms?
