    Carvin TBS Wiring

Yup, that's my plan. Wowzers, that's a bit o' cash. I don't know that I need that full module, I was thinking something more along these lines: Noll 500K/220K Volume/Blend Stacked Control - Best Bass Gear Of course, I don't know if the sizes and values are what I'd need, so I'd have to...

    Carvin TBS Wiring

I wish I knew. I did buy it used, and like I said, it has a grounding/shielding problem I need to fix. The tape that's in there is a bit flaky, I can tell it's not stuck down in a number of places. Nope, it exists only as an idea in my head at this point. To clarify the above, I would have...

    Carvin TBS Wiring

I am this -> <- close to putting in a stacked pot to have volume and pickup fade from neck to bridge. Yeah, there's a ground issue in this bass. In the next day or two I'm going to rip it all out, re-shield it all, and re-ground everything.

I still own one. Here's a pic of the wiring:

    Fender Dimension Bass Club

After having a MIM Deluxe Dimension H and a MIA Deluxe Dimension H, I finally got my "Holy Grail" Dimension: a MIA Deluxe Dimension HH. This beauty is in as close to mint condition as a bass from 2013 can be. Evidently it was previously owned by a collector, and I received it with the OHSC...

    Schecter Owners Club, part 3

I've recently become a Schecter convert. A couple of months back I picked up a Stiletto Extreme 4. I liked it so much that last week I picked up a Stiletto Custom 4. I really enjoy both of them.

"Official" Carvin and Kiesel Club - Part 3

Recently added a new Carvin to my stable: It's a 2009 B50, swamp ash body with translucent honeyburst finish, hardrock maple neck, rosewood fretboard, abalone dot inlays. Passive, dual J99A single-coil pickups with Alnico V magnets. Interestingly it has Hipshot Ultralite tuners on it...

Literally EVERY time I buy a bass online.

According to UPS, my new bass shows up tomorrow between 12:00 and 3:00. But I know better. I'll be refreshing all day today, as I was yesterday, and I will be tomorrow, and I know I'll watch the UPS truck on their website GPS tracking map pass from east of my house to west of my house - on...

    SOLD Kiesel Osiris headless

Hey, so, I think this has changed hands a few times, and I think I wound up with it from a Reverb purchase a few weeks ago. I'm trying to track down the history on it; can I PM you?

"Official" Carvin and Kiesel Club - Part 3

So... I got my first Kiesel. I've had several classic Carvins - an LB20, a B4, a B5, an X44 (which one could technically say is a Kiesel, but it said "Carvin" on the headstock) - but never a Kiesel proper. So, here is my Osiris OB4: I wasn't really looking for a new bass, especially a...

    The Soundgear Club

I wasn't planning on getting another Ibanez. But after selling all of mine a few months back, the other day I was sitting here reminiscing about them and spotted this little gem on Reverb. I had to have it. (Note these aren't my pictures, they're from the Reverb listing. I received...

    Why do folks cut strings?

I *never* cut my strings. Ever. I gnaw on them to bring them down to size. My dentist loves me.

Tuner shims or bushings or something?

Apologies if this has been covered... evidently my search abilities are not as good as I thought they were. Anyway, I’m replacing the neck on one of my basses. Its current neck has the small sized tuners, a la Ibanez or Carvin basses. The new neck has larger tuner holes, a la Fender...

    Fender Dimension Bass Club

So, just to play the opposite side of the fence, I have two Dimensions (one MiA, one MiM) and have seen no problems like what you're experiencing. If the bridge saddle is all the way down on your G string and it's still too high, but all of the other strings are fine and have space under them...
