I haven’t listened to Kraftwerk since the mid 70s but have been enjoying MY TUNER RADIO app the last couple years. They offer a myriad of exclusive artist channels. I added the Kraftwerk channel & played it exclusively for 2 days last week. Really enjoyed hearing.

I saw a cool set of raw brass knurled knobs for jazz & p basses somewhere. Maybe Stew Mac or All Parts. I’m putting a set on something one day because they’re cool. Might be an option on this one. Any of your strings should suffice. The old ones might still sound great after a good set up.

I’m curious if the original pickups are bespoke for this bass & wound by Joe Barden. I’ve never used any of his catalog item bass pickups (one day) but have 3 guitars equipped with them & a big fan.

I’m pretty sure the builder kept the first one but I may be wrong.

I’m not in the market for this style of bass but if I were it sure won’t be a Swan. Their attitude bothers me more than the issues. Two strikes & game over. Good luck on the re finish & enjoy.

I’ve only seen & played one Sandberg @ LOWEND probably 20 years ago. Loved it & should have bought it. Missed a deal on a DK Marlowe a few years back right here on TB. Maybe one day. Yours looks great & I’m sure plays & sounds great too.
