I’m curious if the original pickups are bespoke for this bass & wound by Joe Barden. I’ve never used any of his catalog item bass pickups (one day) but have 3 guitars equipped with them & a big fan.
 
This looks like that weird scale length bass that chris Squire plays during his Hot licks video.
Is this one of those bases?
Squier played one yes. The connection with YES went as follows. Jim Mouridian was from a family of rugmakers. He loved YES and made them a giant rug with the logo on it. They loved it and remained friends, Jim hooked him up with those basses.
