Hearing my self on stage. Issues with Markbass and Orange set up.

So I’ve kind of not cured the problem. But I have stacked an orange obc112 in n top of a Markbass traveller 210 which I pimped up the front with some vox style material. Omg, sounds so much better than one cab on its own. Absolute revelation. The good thing about the orange terror 500 is it has...

    Official Barefaced Bass Cab Club

Hi Guys Thinking of getting a barefaced. But the only thing which I would get instead is a kickback amp like the Ashdown one. Can someone tell what the sound dispersion close up to a barefaced cab is like when playing on a small stage (like a cramped pub) T

Not sure if I understand this setup. 2 speakers attached vertically? Daisychained? Which amp head were you using? Would love to know.

The Myth of Specific EQ/Gear to 'Cut Through' the Mix

What a great guide. Answered a lot of questions I had . Thank you. Luckily I have a low pass pedal which I bought on a recommendation from TB. It helps.

Orange Terror Bass 2 - Ohm Switch When Using 2 x 8 ohm cabs

I’m considering switching from my orange box terror rig. I love it but the lack of a separate volume control between foh line out and cab volume is really frustrating. How is the Eich compared to the orange?

I think you are suggesting a quieter amp angled at the bass players ear will benefit the sound coming from the PA system as there will be less patterns of interference. The bass player benefits and so does the audience.

I’ve never heard of the quilter 803 before. Barefaced: I’ve watched their videos. Sometimes I wonder if Alex is just extremely good at YouTube publicity. However, lots of people rate them very highly. And he did once respond to an email which I thought was kind of him. Probably a good choice.

Hello Talk Bass world I have 2 setups (impulse buys). Markbass vintage 500 with traveller210 8ohm Orange terror with an obc112 cab. My preference is the orange setup. Looks cool and I would buy a second cab for the pure indulgence. The head is solid . Sounds great. Pain having to put it on...

Less low end when playing live : are high end amps worth it?

Well it’s been a few months since my original post. Thankyou to everyone for responding. It’s been a real education. I did buy a sineffect hpf (made in Glasgow). Simple to use and yes it does help. It’s on my peddle board. I would get an origin Di peddle but the xlr output isn’t effected by the...

Less low end when playing live : are high end amps worth it?

Wow What an education. Thank you everybody. I think I will invest in a hpf pedal. Has anyone had any experience with a Glasgow based company called sine effect? I’m in London so kind of makes sense but Broughton seems to be a safe choice.

Less low end when playing live : are high end amps worth it?

I’m on the never ending journey of finding the best rig for live (up to 100 people) bass amp/cab/combo. I’ve had orange terror, Markbass, tc electronic. The tc electronic had a tuner built in: so so handy, and a few nice effects. The Markbass vintage had 2 nice settings and a separate line out...

Tc Electronic. Is Markbass really better?

So I got a really good deal on Markbass Tube 800. I loved the presets VLE and VPF. I tried to get the tc electronic to sound like the Markbass with these settings. My conclusion was that I could get very close to VLE but not close to VPF. The Markbass was always a bit more vibrant but not by...
