If you could only own 2 basses in the world, what would they be?

My Jazz Bass that was my first bass, I've had it forever. And I would want an orange Rickenbacker 4003, or whatever Rickenbacker Paul McCartney had.

    DANELECTRO LONGHORN

Hey, I was just thinking about getting a Danelectro Longhorn reissue. But I just want to make sure that it's a good bass and that it gets good reviews first? So, if any of you have a Danelectro Longhorn, tell me what you think of it.

    The Last GREAT band

Truly Artcic Monkeys, The Last Shadow Puppets, The Shins, and Fleet Foxes are the LAST greatest bands. Unless someone else comes out.

    Overrated Bass Players

Paul McCartney. He may have been melodic and all, but he is nowhere near as good as any of the bassists I grew up listening to. Not as good as Chris Squire or Geddy Lee. Sorry Paul McCartney fans.

    WHERE ARE SOME CHEAP BASSES

Does anyone know where I could get a cheap bass that I can just take around for practice? Or maybe a cheap japanese bass (because I've been wanting one of those). I was just wondering because I've been wanting a bass to just take around instead of my awesome Jazz Bass. I'm kind of protective...

The official "four strings is enough for me" club.

Four is the basses number. No need for needing 8 strings or something. That just makes it easier and takes the fun out of learning to play. I'm in.

    When are you ADVANCED?

Hey, Just wondering, when do you call yourself an ADVANCED bassist? Not pro, beginner or intermediate... ADVANCED. Just wondering.

    The Most Inspirational Bassist

So, when I was about 12, I started getting into 1970s music a lot. And when I say "a lot" I mean I listened to everything from Emerson, Lake, and Palmer to Stevie Wonder to Black Sabbath. But my favorite was Led Zeppelin (still is) and after...

Ever been in a horrible but fun band?

In 7th grade I was in a band I started with one of my friends who couldn't sing and another one of my friends who couldn't play drums. I was the only one who knew how to play an instrument. The lyrics to all of our songs often didn't make much sense, or were inside jokes making fun of our peers...

How do you know if you are good?

So I just had this Jazz Band Audition and I was wondering if there was a way you can tell you are good or if you got the part. Also I'm trying to start this band and my friend says I'm not good enough even though he's never heard me play.
