The screws I used are definitely softer than the saddles. I don't anticipate any thread damage....unless I try a DIY removal and blow it.

That's a possibility I'm going to check into. I own a couple of solid vises, and a drill stand that works as a drill press, it holds an electric drill very securely. The size of the hole is the issue. I would need the proper drill bit, and everything would need to be lined up very...

Well, it doesn't sound good, but I thank y'all for asking and answering a question I was about to post. I very recently obtained a Foundation S that has turned into much more of a project than I expected. When looking for some replacement saddles, I noticed that these Peavey ones look a...

Squier Basses... Are they really that good or are they just good for the money?

Wow. The thread isn't even 24 hours old, and it had 172 responses just before I wrote this. Play as many Squier basses as you can. Make your decision based on those experiences. I'm a fan of buying used. I get more for my money after someone else eats the initial depreciation.

What Kind of Bass Guitar do you Play (Re-loaded)? BE SURE TO REVOTE!

I took a quick glance at the "old" and "new" results, this is what stood out to me: Five string fretted has had a big jump, but four string fretted is still #1. I'm holding out for "Picasso" bass :roflmao:. If you knew how true my user name was you'd understand the emoticon.

At 50 watts of tube power in a combo guitar amp, I never thought of the SJ-12R as little :). But compared to lugging around bass amps & cabs :D, yeah, they're definately little.

Worthless post: On. I also own an Ampeg SJ-12R guitar amp. It's kind of a step-child because it only has the reverb, doesn't also include the tremelo like the SJ-12T. The reverb is seriously wet. Worthless post: Off.

affordable good quality bass for a guitarist

Forgive me for intruding, but I'd like to suggest an Ibanez SR400. To be exact, the active model that includes the 'third' tone knob which serves to blend the P & J pups. It's extremely versatile, and can be found for much less $600.00.

Kewl ad! I had forgotten all about Ampeg offering guitars. Did they make them, or farm out the work?

I wouldn't really want to see James "Mr." Brown since.....well, you know. I have been curious to know what Jimmy looked like; I probably missed some photos here on TB.

So you don't look like James Brown. ------------------- I haven't been around in quite a while. To keep this on tack, one our dogs pulled the sheet off my B-15T and the cat used one corner as a scratching post. I should mention the dogs and the cat are still living.

Does anyone know what colors/finishes were offered on the Patriot? My internet searches found many discussions, but nothing definite on colors/finishes, and no catalogs, just an owners guide. TIA!

Peavey Foundation USA at pawnshop for $249.00 update: --Neck was a little warped. I've seen much worse. --The tone control didn't work at all. --Was little more used than I originally noticed, but still not bad. --No case. Was promised a gig bag "if" they had one. So did it come with one...

Vintage Ampeg B-10? Combo/Stack tube amp?

Again I'm bumping a very old thread....without first checking to see the last time the OP posted :banghead:. EDIT--oh good, Tommygun is still active. Tommygun, I could tell you some unpleasant stories, but it wouldn't be appropriate in the open forum. Did you ever work out a deal, or did...
